Planning A Trip Across Canada

Let's plan our first trip! For our first trip we are traveling close to home and staying within CANADA. We will have many opportunities in this course to explore other regions but as a practice planning with the basic basics we are going to start here!

Here are the requirements;
  1. You have to plan a 7 Day trip. No more, No Less
  2. Depart and Return to Cornwall Ontario.
  3. Include all parts of planning a trip (Refer to the planning flow chart)
  4. Your Budget is $4,000
  5. Assume you are 21 years old (This allows you to rent a car if you wanted)
  6. Indicate what you will be doing in the morning, afternoon and evening of each day. (make use of the graphic organizer)
  7. Include a map which illustrates your transportation route and another map which highlights some of the attractions/sites your region offers
This is due on Tuesday March 8th at the end of the class. You will have access to the computer lab each day. Report to Room 222 each day instead of 130.

In a page-long, report indicate and justify why you made the choices you did. Your report will take into account the types of tourism each area offers and the large distances you must cover. For example, do not drive to British Columbia from Toronto as you will just arrive and your trip will be over.

Please - plan your own trip! While you can take ideas from other sources, but be sure you are planning an original trip and include a reference list of all sources and websites you used.

What You Need To Hand In

  1. Graphic Organizer with what you are doing
  2. 1 page long report with details what you are doing
  3. Detailed Budget
  4. 1+ Maps of your Trip
